After January hand-ins for university, I had an itch to get away from Belfast on a holiday. Growing up, my family and I used to visit Downings, in Donegal, every summer. It is a beautiful little seaside town that kind of shuts down for winter when the tourists leave, which was just what I needed.
I feature my film camera photography from my day to day life on here already, but I thought that I could create a short video in the same sort of way, with quick bursts which might just be interesting and pretty to watch, if you're into that sort of thing!

Downings town is just such a dinky and cute close-knit community who just opened their arms to us. We stayed in Downings Bay Hotel, and the staff were all so pleasant and friendly. We also got up super early to go a walk on the beach to watch the sunrise, and ate half our body weight in croissants and frys, haha! Holidays are really flippin' fun, and Staycations are amazing for just getting away from the Hustle and Bustle of your daily-life, and are much more affordable. I couldn't urge you enough to take a break and book yourself a bus to somewhere gorgeous and kick back with a Guinness and a good book!
